Birth equity (noun): 1. The assurance of the conditions of optimal births for all people with a willingness to address racial and social inequalities in a sustained effort.
We stand in solidarity with those who are on the front lines of establishing Birth Justice. In that spirit, we offer our online childbirth classes free of charge to any community members facing social inequities. In addition, Massage Journey is committed to offering prenatal massages at half price on a first come first serve basis, Alice Norris from Blooming Babies is offering her online Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding and lactation services free of charge and Kurt Poulin from Northeast Medical & Safety Training Associates is offering two spots per month, free of charge, in his CPR classes. We invite our community members’ input and feedback on how Birth Journeys can meaningfully contribute to advancing Birth Justice initiatives, both nationally and locally.
